Ingredients

  • 4 fillets salmon fillets skinless, boneless
  • 0.25 cup spicy mayo or aioli for coating
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs for crunch
  • 2 tablespoons Chili sauce or sriracha for spice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce for flavor
  • 1 teaspoon honey for sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for brushing
  • 1 clove garlic minced

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Mixing bowls

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the spicy mayo with minced garlic to create a flavorful coating for the salmon.
  3. Spread a thin layer of the spicy mayo mixture over each salmon fillet, covering the top evenly.
  4. In a shallow dish, combine panko breadcrumbs with chili sauce, soy sauce, and honey to make the crust.
  5. Gently press the coated side of each salmon fillet into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring an even, thick crust forms.
  6. Place the crusted salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down if applicable, and brush lightly with olive oil for extra crispness.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and crispy, and the fish is cooked through and flaky.
  8. Remove from the oven and let rest for a couple of minutes, then serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can drizzle additional spicy mayo on top before serving. Pair with steamed rice or fresh greens.
