Ingredients

  • 12 ounces spaghetti or your favorite pasta uncooked
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • to taste salt and black pepper for seasoning

Equipment

  • Large pot for boiling pasta
  • Skillet or sauté pan
  • Tongs or pasta server
  • Grater for Parmesan

Method

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, then add the pasta. Cook until al dente according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté, stirring frequently, until fragrant and golden, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream into the skillet with garlic, stirring constantly. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, allowing it to thicken slightly for about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat to low and whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  5. Add the cooked pasta directly into the skillet, tossing gently to coat each strand evenly with the luscious sauce.
  6. Let the pasta sit in the sauce for another minute, allowing flavors to meld and sauce to cling nicely. The final dish should be hot, creamy, and golden on top.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or a squeeze of lemon. Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
